General Description of Class:
This class will demonstrate the use of the sauté pan in cooking. We will learn ways to cook foods in a sauté pan, how to toss foods in a pan, how to “look for” browning foods instead of burning, how to add flavor to foods in the pan, how to use heat when cooking in a sauté pan, how to deglaze the sauté pan, braising in a sauté pan, simple tricks to cooking in a sauté pan, and how to finish in the oven in the sauté pan.

We will cook eggs, fish, meats, and sauces and learn different techniques that are so important to cooking in a sauté pan. Some of the dishes you will learn are:

Shrimp Scampi
Oriental Ahi
Southern Style Salmon
Whitefish Picatta
Browning Brats and Hotdogs
Pepper Steak
Pork Chops ala Hough

Our goal is to make you more confident and able when using a sauté pan. So many foods can be cooked in the sauté pan. I Love Sautéing and you will too after this class.
